Create a dish without a recipe?! (Why I created my blog)

Years and years ago, there was this famous Canadian chef on TV whose slogan was to "cook without a recipe".  It was a very interesting cooking show, but I couldn't help thinking how could that be possible?  Don't you need to know at least the basics of cooking in order to cook up something edible? That turned out to be the beginning of my culinary journey! I thought cooking would be so much easier and rewarding if I knew some basics of cooking.  Since then I have been taking cooking classes to build my culinary foundation and skills.  Learning to cook without a recipe is such an empowering practice and, I think, an essential survival skill, too.  Just imagine that you are cooking  dinner just by looking at what's inside the fridge! You see some leftover chicken from the other night and a couple of onions..., and you cook a fantastic dish based on those two ingredients!  That would be so liberating...  We talk about financial freedom and people want to have it so much. I think culinary freedom is just as important and desirable as financial freedom!  We say health is wealth.  Homemade meals will be much cheaper over the long run; they tend to be healthier than meals prepared by people we don't know.  I would be so happy if I could help you build some cooking fundamentals (with Korean elements, of course) and my blog initiated your lifelong culinary journey!! 😉
