Beef Turkey chili with red peppers and cauliflower served with bread!

Are you blessed with nice and healthy teeth?  This seems a little unusual topic to talk about, but I believe that it is something to be talked about because teeth are so important!  In the following weeks, I will be posting ideas and recipes on soft textured food that are delicious, nutritious and teeth friendly! 😊

Recipe: Beef Turkey Chili with red peppers and cauliflower:

Ingredients: ground turkey (1/2 lb.), ground beef (1/2 lb.), red peppers (2, chopped roughly), cauliflower (chopped roughly, 2 cups), onions (2 med. size), tomato sauce (24 oz., any variety will do), spices (cumin, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, oregano, chipotle, and ground black pepper).  *Note: the amounts of spices used depend on individual preference.  I tend to use lots of garlic powder, ground black pepper and paprika.

How:

1.  Marinate ground turkey and beef in processed onion, black pepper and kosher salt. Let meat marinate for up to 24 hours.

3.  Heat a heavy bottomed pot.  Add oil and brown turkey and beef.

4.  Add the spices and stir well with meat.

5.  Add veggies: red peppers, cauliflower, followed by tomato sauce.

6.  Bring the whole thing to a boil and reduce heat to get it simmering.  Simmer chili for about 30 min. Season to taste.
